Gluten-Free Apple Crisp

I’ve never been a huge fan of apple pie. I know it’s un-American, I have no idea why! But I DO like apple crisp….a lot. And it turns out it is pretty easy to make gluten-free!

Recipe came from my mom, and we modified it to make it GF with delicious results!

Yet again, I’m lacking a photo for this one. I know, I’m the worst!

Ingredients
8 peeled, sliced apples
1.5 cups brown sugar
1 cup gluten-free all-purpose baking flour (Red Mill is great!)
1 cup certified gluten-free oats
1.5 tsp cinnamon
1.5 tsp nutmeg
2/3 cup softened butter

Preheat oven to 375. Grease 9 x 13 pan.

Place apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle over apples.

Bake for 45 minutes or until topping is golden brown.

Serve warm over vanilla ice cream!

I think I’m with you on preferring the crisp to the pie. I’m much more a pumpkin pie gal.
